As the city's main lesbian bar, Vela draws a wide cross section of ages and Sapphic types to Vesterbro, once the city's red light district, now fairly gentrified and trendy, literally on the other side of the tracks from most of the boy's bars. Expect a weather-worn Asian theme and infamous foosball table, yet there's not much in the way of dancing despite its last incarnation as a strip club -- many local ladies head to the guy's clubs for that.
