OUT Review

One of the few downtown eateries locals will frequent without griping about overcrowding or price, the Shed is a staple, and for good reason. Polly and Thornton Carswell founded this eatery back in 1953, and three generations of the family, including their grandson, current chef Josh Carswell, who won the James Beard Award in 2003, have kept the Shed's New Mexican tradition alive and thriving in the 17th-century Prince Patio, one of many open air plazas made from Spanish colonial homes. Try the enchiladas or blue corn burritos, which are served with homemade garlic bread. You won't regret it, and you won't pay too much.
