A grungy, basement dive with vintage posters for bands like D.O.A. and Black Cat and a rotating cast of DJs who know their musical history: When was the last time, for example, you heard the ’70s-era punk band the Alley Cats at a bar? Tuesday night's country western punk party or the obscure rock filled Thursday are especially exciting, but steer clear on the weekend, when this straight but gay-friendly bar can get a bit jammed underground. Sadly, there's no live music, but the bartenders are some of the sexiest in the city, so that makes up for it.
