The small, dark, and somewhat nasty Eagle is often referred to as the Dirty Birdie, or the early Sidewalk Sale (the real sidewalk sale begins at 2 A.M. when bars close and the hot and bothered gay boys hang out on the sidewalks in front of the gay bars and clubs). People have a love/hate relationship with the tempestuous bar tenders, the cheap drink offerings and the cash only policy. The older, dodgy crowd is there to cruise, mostly in and around the dirty bathroom. Gross.
