After a multimillion-dollar, two and a half-year makeover, Betsy is back. Same white, shuttered colonial façade overlooking Lummus Park, and same throws to history via special architectural touches, wooden antique globe accent pieces and four-post beds. But the poshness factor was upped greatly, and this place is now with the times. Sixty-three rooms and suites decked out with wi-fi, iPod docks, huge flatscreens and TVs built into the mirrors in the louve. Besides the hotel itself, the heated garden pool with non-stop chilled towel and frozen fruit service, private spa treatments on the rooftop solarium, outdoor showers and eats (BLT Steak) is where it's at.
