Only a year and a half old, Skotia's become one of the hottest galleries in Santa Fe. The space, just a block from gay bar Rouge Cat, specializes in contemporary works, and director Sofia Kanavle clearly hopes to set Skotia apart from many of the desert city's other art spaces. With striking modern artists such as Steve Huston and Rimi Yang, and plans to expand into both Los Angeles and Dubai, Skotia has successfully injected much-needed cosmopolitanism into the City Different's creative scene.
