Rouge Cat is your best (and really only) option for gaying it up properly in downtown Santa Fe. And that's OK, because in this funky spot, complete with cheetah carpeting, curved bar, and dangling ball lights, you're going to make friends pretty easily. The thriving happy hour scene (4:30-6:30 every day except Tuesday, when the bar's closed) is light-hearted and chill. DJ Oona keeps the place packed for Wednesday's weekly Trash Disco party, while the monthly party Badonkadonk brings in heaps of handsome men. There's absolutely no pretense at this joint, and that can be a vacation in and of itself.
