Back again after a 2010 renovation, Platzhirsch (German for “top dog”) replaced the old Lobby bar with a chic ‘70s retro interior, all green and brown designer sofas. Café by day, bar/lounge by night (snacks and sweets available), it’s a prime spot for people watching in the heart of the Niederdorf area, especially when the weather is nice for the outdoor area. Platzhirsch seems to be a place for everyone and so is the music menu -- apart from Thursdays 5pm-7pm which is reserved for fans of classical.
