Plan Check achieves what LA restaurants do best: it takes a narrow, innovative cuisine concept, pairs it with some Edison bulbs and small batch liquors and sticks it somewhere by the 405. Communal tables and industrial concrete floors just pave the way for more attention on plates like the fried chicken sandwich with duck breast and green pimento cheese. Burgers are of the wagyu variety, and of course there's short rib and oysters to be had. Drink deeply of the piscos and uniquely infused spirits, and don't forget to be thankful you live in LA so you can stop in to places like this.
