His name may not be a (Parisian) household name, like those of like Patrick Roger and Jacques Genin, but Patrice Chapon is no slouch. Before striking out on his own, Chapon supplied the sugar fix to both le Crillon and Buckingham Palace. His small shop on the über-foodie rue de Bac sells beautiful chocolates, candied chestnuts, dipped orange rinds and traditional macarons, but the thing to get here (at least one of many) is a cone of chocolate mousse. The "mousse bar" gives you several options (chocolate from different corners of the world) and a guaranteed smile for only €4.
