Officially, it’s not a gay hotel, but this gay-owned and gay-run property is still a great hangout for the gay traveler. Located in an authentic canal house and designed by the well-known Dutch designer Edward van Vliet, the Nl is a cosy sanctuary right in the middle of the over-crowded city; its dozen or so rooms even awarded Best Small Hotel by Amsterdam broadsheet Het Parool. If you're fond of Dutch tulips and Delft Blue combined with design furniture and modern lighting, welcome to your jam.
