If time is short and your Strøget shopping spree can only squeeze in a stop or two, Illum should certainly be one of them, its glut of upscale Nordic brands all under one posh-ish megadepartment store roof.  Along with local Danish lines (like Bruuns Bazaar and Day Birger et Mikkelsen) are sought-after names from wider Scandinavia (such as Acne, Filippa K., and J. Lindeberg), as well as a host of other gay faves from around the world. On the top floor there's a bookstore and a cafe, as well as an outpost of internationally beloved Danish interior brand BoConcept.
