Going the full eco-monty in green obsessed NorCal is common enough, but the LEED Gold certified H2H (sibling to Charlie Palmer's Healdsburg Hotel) delivers the goods -- from its smoking "living" roof to its low irrigation landscaping. The airy and open design by architect David Baker makes liberal use of reclaimed wood and concrete. Well-appointed, with modern styling (and abundant art by local artists) throughout, follows its eco-chic heart. The water bar on each floor may be a step too cute (but it is refreshing and makes a serious point about bottled water).
