Blending in amongst the ubiquitous hipsters in the Mile End ain't as easy as it seems. There's more to it than bedhead and bagels. The secret to being supercool is to look like you're not trying to be supercool. Duh. Good thing General 54 has perfected the art of supercool. Duds from local designers, kooky jewelry, bags, caps and shoes, vintage finds, funky junk and art have hep hunters in the hood breathing an espresso-infused sigh of relief. Owners Jen and Gen pick and choose on a whim, conjuring up a heady mix of original designs and oldies but goodies.
