Located down the road from the Matador, Evangelos is a local dive known more for its blues music than disco, and for taking a starring role in parts of the Oscar-winning flick Crazy Heart. Worth exploring even for non-music fans, note that this dirty joint ain't a gay bar. Santa Fe is tolerant, but public makeouts might attract looks. The crowd's not necessarily rough, but one can never gauge a well-oiled patron's reaction.
