For mainstream house and electronic music and beautiful people out for a low-attitude good time, GMF on Sunday nights at Weekend is your place. The two-story penthouse club in an unassumingly drab high-rise overlooking Communist-realist Alexanderplatz consistently hosts acclaimed international DJs (like Carl Cox) and is traditionally heralded as one of Berlin's best venues. True, the sound system is killer and the minimal aesthetic undeniably chic (watch your drugs: the intricate lighting rigs are enough to melt your skull), but fellow clubbers all seem curiously underage, especially on the pop-heavy main floor. In summer, the roof terrace draws a more diverse crowd who like their vodka mixed with vertigo. GMF also runs the popular Spy Club at Cookies.
