Home of the most famous drag queen in Quebec. Mado ain't pretty, ain't sexy, and that ain't the point. The grand dame works hard for her money. Armed with a bevy of beauts like Miss Butterfly, Tracy Trash, and Mary Kay, Mado and her cabaret compatriots take having fun very seriously; superior drag and wit draw a cute queer crowd and some good-time breeders. One “gal” describes herself as "Barbie with a rat-face." But honey, throw her in a strapless, sequined gown, give her a mic, and nobody cares if she forgets the words to "It's Raining Men." A local, oh so French-Canadian staple.
